ConFix

ConFix is a new generation product from Proscix, designed for multi dimensional and multi parameter studies of biological samples. Combining label free fluorescence, differential static light scattering and dynamic light scattering technologies, ConFix characterizes protein status in 48 well plates under defined temperature conditions.

Label Free Technology

ConFix determines protein structural stability via fluorescence spectra and protein aggregation via static light scattering. It imposes no constraints on buffer compositions and performs measurements even in detergent environments. No fluorescent dyes are required; universal protein dyes such as ANS may be added optionally. For samples that are difficult to screen by conventional DSF, label free static light scattering on ConFix readily determines Tagg, from which Tm and Tonset can be calculated. Tm calculation algorithms include emission peak method, 350/330 dual wavelength ratio method, area under curve method and centroid wavelength method.

  • Temperature control range: 20 ~ 95 °C
  • Capillary based format; maximum heating rate up to 10 °C/min with short cooling time, delivering high throughput and fast results.
  • Sample volume as low as 2.5 μL
  • Compatible with standard low volume 48 well optical bottom microplates. ConFix collects data for up to 48 samples per run (24 wells are reserved for instrument use). To conserve precious reagents, aggregation can be measured with sample volumes down to 2.5 μL per well. Typical protein concentration range: 0.05 mg/mL ~ 200 mg/mL.

REAL OS System

The integrated REAL OS software automatically manages all operating modes via customizable run schedules for user defined operation timelines, enabling seamless integration into daily laboratory workflows. Automatic validation of all relevant parameters means users only need to define workflow steps; the instrument completes the rest autonomously. Its patented autosampler prevents sample mix ups and ensures full traceability. Flexible run queue management allows emergency samples to be inserted without interrupting ongoing measurements.

One day you analyse high concentration mAb samples at 80 mg/mL; the next day you switch to low concentration enzyme solutions at 70 mg/mL or viscous formulations — ConFix copes effortlessly. Optimized temperature control and optical detection systems permit direct loading of samples with varying buffer compositions, viscosities and turbidity without extra pre treatment.
